On April 13, Osaka World Exposition in Japan was officially opened and Yunmeng Shuihudi Qin Bamboo Slip Land Law of Ancient China made a stunning debut in the exhibition area of “Nature and Man in One” as one of the core exhibits of Chinese Pavilion, drawing widespread attention from the international community.
It is understand that the Land Law of Ancient China, unearthed in 1975, records the provisions concerning farmland management, mountain forest protection and ecological sequence in Qin Dynasty and is recognized as the earliest and most systematic environmental protection code that still exists in the world. The cultural relic exhibited this time vividly restored the sustainable development concept of “going with the flow and using in moderation” in ancient China over 2,000 years ago in the way of combining digital interaction and physical object exhibition. Multi-media scenes were particularly set up in the exhibition area to align the provisions such as “prohibiting logging in spring” and “prohibiting burning grass in summer” in Land Law of Ancient China with local ecological protection practice, deeply interpreting the main narrative line of “Nature and Man in One” of Chinese Pavilion.
